Flor's Story

Hi there! I’m Flor —a 65-lb female Rottweiler with a big heart, a strong spirit, and an even bigger love for playtime. I’m 6-7 years old.

My story didn’t start out easy. I was found in a canal ditch in Mexico, very weak and struggling to walk. Thanks to the amazing humans at The Cantu Foundation, I was heroically rescued and got the care and love I needed—and look at me now! I’m feeling strong, happy, and ready to run, play, and start my next chapter with you.

I’m fully potty trained, crate trained, and I walk very well on a leash (if I do say so myself). I’m also great at entertaining myself—I’ll happily nap in my crate when you’re out and about. But when you’re home? I’m all about fun and affection.

Favorite things:

Tennis balls, squeaky toys, and playing soccer (goal = fun!)

Water! Hose water is basically my personal splash park

Naps, head scratches, and quality hangout time

I’d love a yard to play in, but I can also do just fine indoors as long as someone is willing to toss a ball or toy my way. I’d be happiest with bigger kids or in a solo-human home. I can be a bit selective with other dogs, but I may do well with a more submissive, smaller, or female dog.

One thing to know about me: my back legs are still healing from my rough start, so while I can handle stairs, a home without a lot of steps to enter would be best.

If you’re looking for a loving, playful, loyal companion who’s overcome the odds and is ready to shower you with affection (and maybe challenge you to a game of fetch), I might just be your girl.

My adoption fee is $300, which covers my vaccinations, spay, and microchip.

Do I sound like your new best friend?

You can fill out an adoption application for me at www.thecantufoundation.org
