Floppy's Story
Floppy is a sweet and even tempered 5 year old, 12 lb, boy with the cutest little underbite and a gentle soul that just wants to be close to his people. While he can be shy and a little fearful at first, once he settles in and feels safe, his affectionate and loyal personality starts to shine through.

Floppy enjoys quiet companionship and loves sitting right beside his favorite person on the couch. He sleeps through the night. His potty training is coming along very well, and with regular trips outside, he continues to do great with very few accidents.

He gets along wonderfully with other dogs, both big and small, and has also learned to peacefully coexist with the senior cat in his foster home. Occasionally, he may give a small grumbly growl if another dog gets too close to his space or favorite spot, but it is simply his way of saying he would like a little room and has never escalated beyond that.

Floppy can become excited and bark when other dogs react to things like passing cars or unfamiliar people, and he will need a little patience while adjusting to a new environment. He is still learning leash skills and currently does best with easy access to a secure yard where he can comfortably go outside.

Despite his initial shyness, Floppy has done wonderfully meeting new people, including toddlers and large family gatherings. Once he realizes he is safe, he settles in beautifully and enjoys simply being part of the family.

Floppy is looking for a patient and understanding home that will give him a little time to adjust and continue building his confidence. In return, you’ll gain a sweet, loving companion who just wants a cozy place to belong.
