Floppy's Story

Floppy is a sweet and even tempered 5 year old, 12 lb gentleman with the cutest little grin, an incredibly soft coat, and a personality that's impossible not to love. He's happy, gentle, independent, and quiet, with just the right amount of goofy personality to keep you smiling.

Floppy enjoys meeting new people and happily greets them with his sweet demeanor. He's done wonderfully with other dogs, has been gentle with cats, and has even been perfectly content staying with neighbors when needed. He knows his basic commands, walks beautifully on a leash, rarely barks, and absolutely loves long walks, exploring outdoors, and trips to the dog park.

When the adventures are over, Floppy transforms into the ultimate cuddle bug. His favorite place is curled up in your lap or burrowed deep under a cozy blanket, where he'd happily spend most of the day snoozing.

Floppy is a funny little guy when it comes to food. He adores soft foods and special treats like green beans, yogurt, steak, and even a little toast. He'll happily dance with excitement when treats appear and always takes them gently. Regular meals, however, are another story. Some days he'll finish every bite, some days he'll nibble, and occasionally he'll skip a meal altogether. This has simply become part of his personality, and his family should know that he's not a food motivated dog.

He also believes stainless steel bowls are highly suspicious. Rather than marching up to eat, he'll cautiously inspect them and sometimes hop backward as if they might attack him. Plastic bowls, silicone dishes, or lick mats are much more his style, and he prefers quiet mealtimes where he can eat at his own pace.

Floppy is continuing to work on his house training and does best with a consistent routine and supervision indoors. He enjoys relaxing in his crate with a soft blanket, where he happily burrows in and settles down for a nap.

Because he's a sensitive little soul who startles easily, Floppy would be happiest in a calm home without very young children. Loud, busy environments can overwhelm him, but with patient, understanding people, he quickly settles in and becomes an incredibly loving companion.

Floppy is full of personality, quirky habits, and quiet affection. If you're looking for a sweet, gentle little dog who loves outdoor adventures just as much as cozy blanket snuggles, Floppy may be your perfect match.
