****We are Pets Are Worth Saving (P.A.W.S) – Stephenville, TX - We are a small, foster based animal rescue, 501(c)3 non-profit organization, based out of Stephenville, TX. We work to rehabilitate and rehome unwanted cats and dogs in Stephenville and surrounding towns. We have recently expanded our scope to include Hamilton County, TX and are currently working with the City of Hamilton and the Hico Police Department to find loving foster and permanent homes for dogs that have been abandoned and have ended up in the Hamilton Pound or the Hico Animal Shelter. <br/> Pets Are Worth Saving (P.A.W.S.)’s mission is to sponsor low cost spay/neuter and wellness exams, provide community education and provide food and supplies to those in need. We also do our best to find loving homes for abandoned, neglected, or abused animals. Our animals are vaccinated and on preventatives. Perhaps Flo is the dog for you.<br/><br/>Meet Flo!!<br/><br/>Flo is a very sweet, young (1-2 years old), spayed female, pit bull mix. She's a very affectionate dog with a bit of a sordid past. Poor Flo was picked up with two other dogs, after her owner was incarcerated. Unfortunately, no provisions were made for his dogs, so they've wound up in the Hamilton Pound. Because Flo is house trained and needed a place to heal from her spaying, we've moved her to the Hico Shelter.<br/><br/>Flo is a great dog, who loves people, likes to play with other dogs, and really just needs a human companion to share her love with. She's good on leash but pulls initially from the excitement of getting out of the shelter. Flo is doggie door and house trained. She should be okay with older children, but due to her size and energy level, she might be too much for smaller kids.<br/><br/>One of the best things about Flo is her coat coloration and markings make her look like a cow, which we think is wonderful. <br/><br/>Flo has been in the shelter for over a month now and is starting to go a bit kennel crazy due to lack of companionship, physical and mental stimulation. She really needs out.<br/><br/>Flo is up to date on vaccines, rabies, Bordatella, and is heartworm negative.
