Flash's Story

Meet Flash! He's still a youngster, about 6-8 months old and appears to be a shepherd mix, weighing in at 40 lbs. Flash has been hanging out in one of our play yards with his dog buddy, Dinozzo. UPDATE on Flash… he got to spend some time in a foster home. Below is what he has to say about his experience. “I can be your new best friend! Long legs, dark and handsome and I’m totally ready to steal your heart. I love other dogs and I’m good with kids. I can be a bit barky when I play…that’s just my excitement. I have a deep bark that calls to the ladies…channeling my Barry White. A doggy sidekick is a must to help me feel confident and show me the ropes in my new home. I need patient humans…I take a little bit to trust but as you build that trust I show my loving side more and more each day. My foster family wish they could keep me, but their scaredy-cat is too much of a temptation for me when he runs away. I love to play ball. I’m still working on potty training and accidents are guaranteed to happen as I learn the ropes in your home, but I can & will learn to potty outside. Please be patient with me. I’m still figuring out that head pets are OK so start with a chin scratch and then let me smell your hand first. I like to find things to chew on such as kids stuffed animals and shoes. Neat and tidy is a good thing to keep me safe. Chew toys are a great thing to have on hand. I definitely need a cat that is dog savvy, confident, and absolutely not a runner are bonus points. If they’re willing to put me in my place that will help me. My foster family said I’m a sweet, loyal boy with a big heart who is learning every day. If you’re looking for a lovable, slightly goofy companion with tons of potential and super cute ears…I might be the one for you. Come meet me and see if we’re a match.”

Come check out our adoptable dogs at 2650 Washington Blvd, Crescent City, CA 95531.
