Flannel's Story

Hey there, I'm Flannel, a charming terrier mix with a heart full of love and nose for adventure! I weigh about 50 lbs. I was born around August 2019 and my journey to the shelter was quite the tale. The local police department found me as a stray and took me to Humane Society of Madison County. Despite our best efforts to find my previous family, no one came forward. So now, I'm patiently waiting for my happily ever after.

When I first arrived, I wasn't in the best shape. I had some hair loss, likely due to fleas, and I was quite skinny. But thanks to the amazing vet staff, the pesky fleas left and I was put on the right diet. I grew back my hair and gained weight! Now, I just need a loving family to help me continue my journey.

I absolutely love toys! Whether it's a ball or squeaky toy, I'm always up for some fun. I enjoy being outside, taking walks, running around off-leash, or just hanging out in the grass getting belly rubs. I'm very scent driven and love going on “sniffaris” during my walks. Puzzle toys and snuffle mats are my favorite mind-enriching activities. I'm very treat motivated and super smart. I already know “sit” and “down,” and want to continue my training. This would be a great bonding activity with my new family!

I've met a couple of the other dogs and while I can be a bit selective with my doggie friends, I'm open to meeting them. Let's set up a meet and greet to see if we all get along! I'll need a consistent potty schedule and I will do great! If you're looking for a loyal, playful, and smart companion, I'm your guy!

Adoption app: https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/12786/generic
