FITZPATRICK's Story
Fitzpatrick is a young dog with a playful spirit, a social personality, and a whole lot of potential. Staff and volunteers consistently describe him as friendly, affectionate, easy to handle, and genuinely enjoyable to spend time with. He walks nicely on leash, rides calmly in the car, enjoys exploring new places, and has done well meeting people in public settings. During outings he has been described as patient, quiet, and well-mannered, happily sniffing around, lounging, or soaking up attention from the people around him. He also seems to have a goofy side, especially once he gets comfortable enough for the zoomies and play bows to start coming out.

Fitzpatrick is still a young, excitable dog who can become overly playful during high-energy interactions, especially when running around and getting worked up. Because of this, he would likely do best with adopters committed to continuing positive training, helping him build impulse control, and providing structure for playtime. The good news is that he has repeatedly shown himself to be responsive to redirection and increasingly comfortable with handling and interaction as he settles in. Fitzpatrick feels like the kind of dog who could truly flourish in the right home, especially with people who appreciate goofy young-dog energy and are willing to help guide him as he continues maturing into the wonderful companion he is already showing signs of becoming.

All adoptions include support from our adoption team to ensure a smooth transition from the shelter to your home. Adopted pets are vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed/neutered before leaving the shelter's care.
