Fiona's Story
Fiona the Fluffy is seeking a Corgi approved home. She was rescued as a stray and has been in a foster-to-adopt program since then. She is adored by her foster folks and has never showed any behavior issues. She is a perfect lady. She is 2 y/o, housebroken, leash trained, crate trained for short periods, knows some commands, food motivated, loves other dogs, people and older children. She is NOT cat tested.
Her Fosters are retired senior citizens and not very active. Fiona has let us know that as much as she loves her fosters, she is bored to tears! Her Fosters have made the difficult decision to find her a home that will allow her to thrive.
Fiona is requesting an active, busy, corgi savvy home where she can get the exercise and mental stimulation a young corgi needs. She requires a fenced yard, an active family with kids who are not away for long periods of time. (4hours max) to walk, hike, camp and play ball with her.
If you are not familiar with the corgi personality please do some research before filling out an application. Fiona is smart, sweet, busy, and bossy. She is a talker and sometimes has a lot to say. She has claimed the Big Bed as her own. She is ALL Corgi.
Corgis are a herding breed and that is what they are bred to do. She herds other dogs, squirrels and kids. Older kids must be able to hold their own with the herding. She is so gentle and she has never nipped anyones feet but she could nip just as part of her job.
Fiona is spayed, microchipped, up-to date on all vaccinations. We do not adopt out of state.
