Fiona's Story
Fiona: Professional Sunbather. Amateur Genealogist. Full-Time Snuggle Expert.

Some dogs burst into your life like fireworks. Fiona is more like your favorite cozy blanket.

At 13 years young and a perfectly portable 8 pounds, this tiny Chihuahua has mastered the art of living well. She's looking for a soft lap, a sunny spot on the floor, and someone who appreciates the finer things in life—like sleeping under the covers, leisurely strolls, and dancing on your back in the sunshine for absolutely no reason.

Fiona actually used to be an Albert's Dog Lounge alum. She thought she'd found her forever family, but life had other plans. Due to heartbreaking health issues, her beloved adopter can no longer care for her, and Fiona is once again searching for the home she deserves.

The good news? She recently got a clean bill of health! She may only have two teeth left, but don't let that fool you—this little lady is surprisingly spry, full of happy wiggles, and always ready for her next adventure (or nap... preferably both).

Fiona's Favorite Things:

Sunbathing like she's on permanent vacation.
Riding shotgun as your tiny co-pilot (she firmly believes the center console was invented specifically for Chihuahuas).
Sleeping under the covers because blankets are life.
Hanging out with cats. Seriously. She treats cats like they're just funny-looking dogs and is perfectly happy sharing beds, couches, and recliners with them.
Finding Her Person and sticking to them like Velcro.

Her foster mom says Fiona is one of the sweetest Chihuahuas she's ever met. She isn't yappy, snappy, or dramatic. In fact, she's probably the least "spicy" Chihuahua you'll ever meet. She's simply affectionate, gentle, and happiest when she's close enough to keep an eye on her favorite human.
Fiona would love a quieter home where life moves at a comfortable pace. She's lived mostly with women and can be a little shy around new people, especially men, but once she realizes you're kind, her little tail starts wagging her entire body. She isn't looking to be the life of the party—she'd rather be your faithful sidekick.

She's happiest with another calm, friendly dog to show her the ropes, and if you have cats? Even better. They're already on her VIP list.

Like many senior ladies, Fiona does best with a consistent potty routine and may occasionally use potty pads, especially if you're gone for several hours or the weather is less than ideal. Her future family should be prepared for a little extra patience—she's absolutely worth it.

If Fiona were human, she'd spend her summers wearing oversized sunglasses, reading beach novels from a chaise lounge, and telling anyone who would listen about the fascinating discoveries she made researching the family tree. She'd absolutely own several Hawaiian shirts, insist that naps are medically necessary, and remind everyone to "go enjoy the sunshine."

She's not looking for excitement. She's just looking for home.

Albert's Dog Lounge is a specialty rescue focusing primarily on senior and special needs dogs.

Our process includes an approved application, reference checks, a homevisit, and then a meet and greet with the dog. Adoption fee is $350, ($600 for a pair).
