Fiona's Story
At 2 years old, Fiona is a small border collie with a big personality and even bigger energy. This sweet, affectionate girl came to North Paw after spending her first two years living outdoors on an Amish farm. Despite her rough start, this girl loves being around her people and is always ready for her next adventure. Whether she's running zoomies in the yard, jumping around, or exploring the yard, Fiona thrives the most when she has opportunities to stay active and engaged.

Like many young intelligent herding breed dogs, Fiona is eager, enthusiastic, and still learning some important manners. She can be mouthy and may grab at hands, so she'll need an adopter who is committed to continuing her training and helping her learn appropriate ways to channel her energy. Because of this behavior, we believe she'd do best in a home without small children.

Seeing as she's still getting used to living indoors, Fiona is not yet fully house-trained and will need patience, consistency, and a predictable routine as she adjusts to her new home. One of her best qualities though, is how comfortable she is in her crate. Fiona views her crate as a safe place and will often put herself to bed or retreat there on her own when she wants to relax and recharge.

Fiona is looking for an active home that understands the needs of smart, energetic dogs. She'll do best with adopters who can provide regular exercise, mental stimulation, structure, and positive reinforcement training. In return, you'll gain a loving, loyal companion with a sweet nature and endless enthusiasm for life.

If you're looking for an energetic sidekick and are excited about helping a wonderful dog continue to learn and grow, Fiona may be the perfect match for you.

Fiona's adoption fee is $600! This adoption fee includes: her alter, a microchip, her rabies, bordetella, and age appropriate DAPP vaccines, flea/heartworm preventative, and a deworming treatment while in foster care.

If you think she may be perfect for you, please apply using the link below!

https://www.cognitoforms.com/NorthPawRescue/NorthPawRescueAdoptionApplication

**Unfortunately, we cannot adopt out to Canada at this time.

**We require a 60 minute adoption radius.
