Finnegan-Courtesy Posting's Story

Courtesy Posting: If you think Finnegan might be a good fit to join your family please fill out an online application on our website and we will forward it to Finnegan's family for consideration.

Meet your best new hiking companion!

Finnegan is an athletic 7 year old standard poodle in great health. He enjoys hiking, ice cream cones, and the part of fetch where you throw the ball (although hes not so sure how he feels about bringing it back). Like many poodles he is a true extrovert and loves to be around people. A professional bed hog, he loves to worm his way into the middle of the bed and sprawl out. He is an angel on the grooming table and gets groomed every 4 weeks, and always behaves at the vets office.

He loves other dogs that can match his energy. He lives with another dog now who he is very bonded with, and would most likely do best with another dog or humans who are home most of the time.

He loves men and women, but has never been around young children. Due to his energy he would most likely be better around older children or teenagers.

Finnegan has a moderate prey drive so would not be a good match for any homes with cats, livestock, or small housepets (hamsters, birds, rabbits etc.)

Finnegan is a truly athletic dog. His vet always comments on how muscular and fit he is. He weighs a very compact and muscular 50 pounds. He does require a fenced in yard to be able to run and play every day so he can stretch those muscles.

No history of aggression issues or resource/food guarding.

Finnegan is a glutton and loves any and all treats. His favorite way to wrap up a hike is with a small vanilla ice cream cone. He currently eats Taste of the Wild ancient grains that is supplemented with bone broth, quail eggs, and pumpkin. Every year on his birthday (June 25th) he gets a special birthday boy omelet for breakfast

Finnegan does have separation anxiety which he takes prozac for daily which helps manage his condition.

Changing work and home situations have left him, through no fault of his own, not getting the time or attention he deserves to be his happiest self.

If you think Finnegan might be a good fit to join your family please fill out an online application and we will forward it to Finnegan's family for consideration.
Here is the link:
https://www.poodlerescuene.org/adoptionapplication
