**WE ARE ALWAYS IN NEED OF FOSTER HOMES** Homeward Bound Dog Rescue is an all volunteer rescue organization and all our dogs and puppies are in foster homes - we are not a shelter and do NOT have a facility where we house our dogs. You must fill out an application online as we do NOT accept applications at our clinics.<br/><br/>Meet Finn, a male Terrier mix, 4 years old, 13 lbs. Finn came to the shelter because his owner was hospitalized and sadly will not be returning home. Finn is very shy at first but once he knows you he is very sweet. He loves to play and is all tail wags. It is likely he will need additional work on house training due to his owners physical limitations and not being consistent with taking him outside. Finn would probably not be a good fit for a loud home with small children. He loves to be outside and to go for walks. <br/><br/>Our adoption clinics are held one Saturday a month at our facility in Schenectady on John Street, located directly behind Boulevard Bowl (Erie Boulevard) from 10 am to 12 pm (directions are on our website). We require an approved application before we consider anyone for an adoption - so filling out the application is your first step. Once your application has been reviewed, you will receive an email invitation to attend an adoption event. Different dogs and puppies go up for adoption EVERY WEEK so please feel free to visit the site and click on the Petfinder link for updates as we are adopting dogs out in between adoption events. Puppies and dogs up to 2 years old are $395. Dogs over 2 years old are $295. 100% of the adoption fees go to help us save more dogs.
