Finn's Story

Meet Finn, a handsome young pit mix with a big personality and an even bigger heart.

Finn came to us after being found wandering the streets of Duxbury, and he’s been settling into shelter life in Pembroke, MA with impressive ease. He’s a high-energy young dog who thrives on movement, engagement, and connection—but he also has a softer side. Finn is a true snuggle bug who seeks out affection and enjoys being close to his people.

Since arriving, Finn has shown us just how adaptable and eager he is. He’s been building solid routines and has done well with structure. Like many young dogs, he can get excited, but he’s shown a nice ability to settle and regulate when given clear guidance.

Finn is dog friendly and has had a positive interaction with a cat, though continued slow and thoughtful introductions would be important in a new home. Based on his energy level and play style, we believe a home with teenagers or older would be the best fit.

Finn has shown some resource guarding behaviors around items, so he will need an adopter who is comfortable managing that with structure, consistency, and guidance. With the right approach, this is something that can be worked through and improved over time.

Finn is a joyful, affectionate young dog with a lot of potential. With continued routine, exercise, and positive reinforcement, he’s ready to build a strong bond with the right foster or adopter.

All of our dogs are up to date on vaccinations, spayed/neutered, microchipped, and on preventatives.

For more information, visit our website: https://buddyandfriendsma.org

To be considered, an application must be submitted at: https://buddyandfriendsma.org/adopt

MA License Number: 52
