Finn's Story
**WE ARE ALWAYS IN NEED OF FOSTER HOMES** Homeward Bound Dog Rescue is an all volunteer rescue organization and all our dogs and puppies are in foster homes - we are not a shelter and do NOT have a facility where we house our dogs. For adoption information go to: www.homewardbounddogrescue.com. You must fill out an application online as we do NOT accept applications at our clinics.

Hi, my name is Finn. I'm a cocker spaniel with lots of energy. I am the perfect size at only 30 pounds and I am house trained. I like to go for walks, run around the yard and play with toys. I'm very friendly with people, dogs and I do great with cats. I do not mind the crate, and love a good dog bed.

I came to Homeward Bound needing to be shaved down, put on some medicine and a dental. Unfortunately my teeth were so bad they had to take them all out. Being I was in need of a lot of care I acted and looked around 11 years old, but now that I have settled in and they put me on some meds, I feel a lot better and have a lot of energy. My foster mom feels that I am younger, because I'm always moving and playing. I do have some lumpy bumps here and there on my body. I also have these tremors on my back hind end area and legs. They are not sure what is causing it, but it is not holding me back from playtime. It may get better with time and exercise, it also could be from being quite neglected before I came to the Rescue.

I'm a very sweet guy who will make a great addition to someone's home. A yard with room to run or lots of walks would be wonderful.

Our adoption clinics are held one Saturday a month at our facility in Schenectady on John Street, located directly behind Boulevard Bowl (Erie Boulevard) from 10 am to 12 pm (directions are on our website). We require an approved application before we consider anyone for an adoption - so filling out the application is your first step. Once your application has been reviewed, you will receive an email invitation to attend an adoption event. Different dogs and puppies go up for adoption EVERY WEEK so please feel free to visit the site and click on the Petfinder link for updates as we are adopting dogs out in between adoption events. Puppies and dogs up to 2 years old are $395. Dogs over 2 years old are $295. 100% of the adoption fees go to help us save more dogs.
