Finn's Story
Name: Finn
Gender: Male
Age: 1-3 years
Breed: Terrier mix
Weight: 30lbs
Disability: deaf, possible peripheral impairment
Dogs: okay with submissive, calmer dogs
Cats: too excitable with
Kids: older children due to his excitement and energy level

Bio: Finn came to us all the way from a high-risk kill shelter in Oklahoma where he was at risk for euthanasia. When we heard Finn’s situation we couldn’t say no! This busy boy may be deaf and slightly visually impaired but that doesn’t slow him down! Finn is a spunky boy with lots of energy. He can’t wait for you to play his favorite game with him, fetch! He will bring his ball to you and drop it when he’s ready to go! Finn is a very smart boy and is learning sign commands at his foster home. He already knows signs for sit, come, drop it, and no. Finn has a high drive to work, so his ideal forever home will be an energetic family willing to play and work with him daily. Finn is working on leash etiquette, and he’s FAST so his home needs a fenced in yard. He is fully house trained and crate trained. Finn gets too over excited with cats, so his ideal home would be feline friend free. He has shown some signs of resource guarding with other animals in the presence of food and toys, so his ideal home will need to be willing to work with him on this. We usually recommend feeding a dog their meals inside their crate anyways to help build that positive association with it. He takes treats from his humans very gently and gives the best kisses!
