Finn's Story

Meet Huck (& Finn)
Two little adventurers searching for their forever story.

These two sweet Bichon boys may not have traveled down the Mississippi, but they’ve definitely been on a journey together — and now they’re ready to discover the very best chapter yet: life as beloved family dogs.

Huck & Finn absolutely adore each other, and we would love a home willing to adopt them together. It's not required, but preference would be given to a good fit applicant who wanted both. They help each other feel brave, safe, and loved, and watching them cuddle, play, and navigate this new world side by side is pretty special. (They could be separated if there’s another friendly, similar-sized dog already in the home.)

Huck (orange collar)
14 lbs • estimated 3 years old

Huck is the quieter, laid-back gentleman of the duo. He’s very sweet, loves other small dogs, and while people are still a little new to him, he’s learning more every day that humans can be pretty great. His favorite hobbies include zoomies with dog friends, cozy naps, and simply soaking in this new “house dog” lifestyle. Huck absolutely needs another dog in the home to help him feel confident and safe.

Finn (teal collar, darker tan ears)
12 lbs • estimated 5 years old

Finn is the goofy charmer. He’s warming up beautifully to people, enjoys gentle pets, and has a wonderfully silly personality. He loves rolling onto his back, being dramatic, and making everyone smile. Like Huck, he’s incredibly dog-friendly, relaxed, and still learning all the comforts that come with being part of a family.

A few things to know:
Both are neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped
Belly bands don’t bother them at all
Potty training is still a work in progress, but they never poop in their kennels...win!
Leashes are brand new to them, so a fenced yard would help but isn’t required
Untested with cats
They are incredibly gentle, sweet boys who simply need patience, kindness, and time to keep blossoming. Their foster reports that they've been the perfect houseguests!

If you’ve been waiting for a pair of lovable sidekicks to turn your house into a home, Huck & Finn are ready to write their next adventure with you.

Apply at adoptapal.org/adopt to meet them! Adoption fee is $500 (per dog) and they are neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and come with a month of pet insurance.
