Finley's Story
Finley is 9 years old and about 45 pounds. She is a mixed breed.
Finley came to us a very fearful puppy. We have done a ton of work with her, but she is still wary of strangers . She is jumpy at loud noises, but has gotten much better.
Finley barks at the neighbors, so probably a rural home would be better for her.
The time she is most at ease is when she is playing with the other dogs.

Her dream home will need :
A fenced in yard, as she would probably run off until she gets comfortable with you. Also, she likes to play fetch, and needs a yard for that.
At least one other dog in her home
A quiet, rural setting
A quiet home with no small children
And a super patient, loving person that understands it will take time to win her over, but when you do, she is fun and friendly.
She will need to be adopted locally as you will have to come several times to spend time with her before she goes to her new home. She would be happier when she leaves if she knew you.
She can't be boarded if you go on vacation, so she will need a dogsitter that will take the time to get to know her.

These are non negotiable, as we want a successful adoption for her so that she won't be returned.

Finley is spayed and up to date on vaccinations. Her adoption fee is $ 250.00
If you think you might be willing to give her a permanent, loving home, the first step is a completed application. You can find them here. We would love to work with you and find Finley a best friend.
www.newdigsfordogsrescue.org
