About Finley
Status: Available
Breed: Mini-Aussie (Mini American Shepherd)
Gender: Spayed Female
DOB: 06/08/2024
LOCATION: Warrenton, VA
WEIGHT: 33lbs
COAT: Rough Coat
COLOR: Blue Merle
ACTIVITY LEVEL: Active Companion

Meet Finley!

Finley is a Mini-Aussie/Aussie cross, per her DNA. She is a petite 33 pounds – a perfect size! Her foster mom calls her Merry because she is a happy dog and loves to play and run. She has a dog door and fenced yard and can come and go into the “dog room” during the day. She plays well with her foster brother and walks nicely on the leash. She knows several tricks: sit, shake, spin, down, look, and paws up on the pods (and would love to learn more!)!

Although corrective surgery was done, Finley does still have an incontinence issue, making her a bit of a “special needs” girl. She wears panties with pads when in the house, and her crate has waterproof covering pads. It is unclear whether her condition will improve over time. She takes Proin daily.

Finley is spayed and UTD on her core vaccines. She sleeps through the night and barks to go out. She isn’t a big fan of being brushed but does well on the grooming table.

Finley would do best if she had access to a fenced yard and an energetic companion dog to play with.

If you are the perfect forever home for Finley, please fill out an application and contact her foster parents at bonzer77@comcast.net. BRBCR’s approval process includes phone interviews, reference checks, and a home visit prior to meeting a foster dog. Approved applicants must meet at the foster dog’s location. Every adoption begins with a 2-week trial period.

Finley’s adoption fee is $350.

Thank you for considering a rescue dog!

Fill out an adoption application on our website OR email a completed adoption application to brbcrdogs@gmail.com. 3. A BRBCR volunteer will conduct a phone interview with the applicant and the applicant's veterinarian and personal references. 4. A BRBCR volunteer will conduct a home visit with the applicant.
