Finch's Story
Meet Finch! Finch is an (almost) four-month-old male Chihuahua mix, born April 5, 2026. His mama Birdie and his three siblings were taken in by Chi Town Rescue when he was just a week old. Finch is a small boy, weighing around six-pounds. Most of that weight comes from his adorably huge ears! Finch is the second most shy pup in the litter and will avoid new people at first. He will need a family who will be patient and help him experience all the new things life has to offer. Finch does allow handling when you catch him, and will even go belly-up for a tummy rub once he knows you. Finch is a curious guy, but needs help being brave so he can live life to the fullest! <br/>Please make sure you are ready for the commitment of adopting a young dog. Puppies become adult dogs and are meant to be loved for their whole life, not just until they grow up. Puppies will need lots of patience to help them learn their best doggy manners, leash-training, and house-training. Adoption fees are $500 per puppy and include vaccinations, microchip, and eventual alter surgery at the PAWS clinic on Cave Creek Road in Phoenix. Per our vet, we do not alter puppies until around five months, which helps with hormone development and bone growth. Adopters will sign a contract that you will bring your puppy to the PAWS clinic for spay/neuter surgery, sometime in September 2026. Email us at chitownrescue@gmail.com for more information/meet and greet appointment!
