Fillmore

Sweet Fillmore is an exuberant part time athlete, full time coach potato. You wouldn’t even know a dog was in the home because he hardly barks when people stop by, just the usual protesting when he is being crated but he quickly settles. He is currently working on potty training and is about 95% there. He is crate trained and sleeps in his bed at night. He is learning sit and other basic commands like off, leave it and come. We are working on his leash walking skills. He is very food motivated and eager to learn. This boy loves to play fetch with his balls but will sometimes hog them. He loves a good chew toy like a bully stick and being near his people. He loads up well in the car, enjoys car rides and we are working on short walks as we build up to longer walks. <br/><br/>He can be jumpy and mouthy when excited or meeting new people so older kids are recommended. This is something that he is actively working on. He also likes to put his paws on the counter and dining table and we are working on this and he has gotten so much better! He hasn’t been around cats but from observation of wildlife being nearby on our walks, he likes to chase so would probably do best in a non cat household or possibly a dog savy cat. He was friendly towards other dogs during his stay at Stockton Animal Shelter, participating in play groups but does not live with another dog. <br/><br/>At the end of the day, Fillmore is just a baby that wants to be loved and have a family of his own. <br/><br/>Fillmore is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and chipped.
