FIGARO's Story

PINT-SIZED FIGARO HAS A GALLON-SIZED PRESENCE

Figaro, better known as Fig or Figlet, is a 9-year-old Chihuahua weighing in at barely four pounds. Do not let the size fool you into expecting a delicate lap dog. Fig is a dog of conviction who knows exactly what he wants and has no trouble communicating it, like when he feels his food bowl is not being filled quite fast enough.

Fig is a social creature who has lived in harmony with everyone from children to fellow small canines. He prefers the company of women over men but does warm up to them slowly and he is wary of large dogs. His tail is in a state of constant motion, and he is a generous distributor of kisses in exchange for a good butt scratch.

He is very happy to tuck himself into a blanket or to lounge in his bed, which is his home base. As long as he is settled there, he is happy to oblige almost any request. While he is small enough to travel in a knapsack or a tote bag, Fig is an adventurous spirit who can keep up with a brisk pace on his daily walks (read daily runs in his case) and he is always up for a car ride.

Figaro is in good health, up to date with his vaccines, is microchipped, neutered and working on his pee pad training. Because he values quick access to safe spaces to do his business, he would do well in an apartment or a house provided there is a balcony or a yard. He is a minimal shedder with exactly one tooth remaining, adding to his unique charm. Kids 10+. He has no history with cats.
If you have the time, the love and the dedication for FIGARO please fill out an application at:

https://gerdysrescue.org/adoption-form/
No direct message inquiries, please.
We adopt to Montreal and surrounding areas only.
We will only respond to applicants who match the requirements.
