Meet Fig
Hi,
My name is Fig, I’m approximately a 1 year old Lab mix who is medium-large size, and I want to be your new best friend! I want to go where you go, I want to cuddle with you on the couch and watch TV, and I will not let you out of my sight for too long. My foster family gives me an A+ with my crate training, where I sleep perfectly at night and if both foster parents leave during the day to run errands etc. I will lay peacefully in my crate and have a nap, I don’t whine or bark. I have been left alone uncrated and do fine as well. My foster parents say I am very sweet and loving boy.
I’m fully house broken, I will go to the back door and let out a little bark when I need to go outside but can go hours without being let out. I don’t make much noise in the house or yard but if someone I don’t recognize walks down the alley way I will throw out a couple barks.
I came from a rural area, but am quickly adjusting to city life. I enjoy my twice daily walks and love playing fetch in the backyard! My foster parents say I’m about an 8.5 out of 10 on my walks, I do pull a little bit when I smell something I really want to check out, but otherwise am almost perfect. I am also great on car rides and sit/lay on my bed like a good boy.
I know my basic commands like sit, shake, down, no, off, leave it, and I’m working on stay! I’m also very curious, so a fenced yard or a secure area outside for me is a must. Right now, besides walks, my favorite outdoor activity is playing fetch with my ball in the snow.
I’m the only pup in my foster home, but I’ve done very well with the other dogs my foster family has introduced me to, I have not been exposed to cats, or kids, but based off my temperament my foster parents believe I would do well with both.
Do you think you could be my best friend? Let’s meet!
