Fig is a sweet girl who was brought to the city shelter as a stray.
We estimate Fig to be between 1-3 years old and a little over 50 pounds.
Fig is well-behaved and does well on leash , but she can get excited when she sees other dogs.

Fig is becoming more confident and comfortable in her foster home, but she will need an adopter who is committed to her training. She will need special attention to her leash manners and general socialization.

She is potty trained and will whine to let her foster mom know she needs to go outside. She is crate trained and absolutely loves her crate. She is very gentle when taking treats and doesn't mind when humans or her dog foster brother borrow her toys.

Fig knows sit, down, paw, come and kennel. Fig is cheese motivated and would love to continue learning. Fig walks nicely on leash and shows appropriate interest and excitement when seeing other dogs.

Fig has met one toddler and was very polite. She took treats gently and allowed for pets. She has been sweet and wiggly when meeting all different types of people.

Fig currently lives in an apartment with another large male dog and politely greets and coexists with him. Fig doesn't seem to mind the noisy neighbors that come with living in an apartment, and the hustle and bustle of the city doesn't bother her.

Fig loves car rides, snuggling up in pile of blankets, taking strolls around the neighborhood and naps in the sun.
