Hi, I’m Fidel! If you’re looking for an all-around charmer with soulful eyes and a glass-is-overflowing attitude, then I’m the guy for you! I’m a six-year-old, 31-pound Maltese-Poodle mix, and yep you read that right, I’m a bit overweight (but hey, I’m working on that last six pounds!). Other than my weight, I am happy to report I’m a healthy guy, neutered, have had a dental and blood work, am microchipped, potty trained, and up-to-date on my vaccines. It may come as no shock, but my life’s mission is to bring a smile to your face. I’ve even perfected the art of wagging my tail cutely, just to make you laugh! I LOVE being by my person and will try to be a lap dog and give you all the cuddles if you let me. I’m great on walks, but distance has to be limited for now while I get back in shape and lose that last six pounds - I have a regimented diet that’s helping with that too! You may be wondering how I got so overweight in the first place… well, I can admit I’m a “foodie” and coming from a neglected past where I was kept outside with a 50-pound bag of dog food at my convenience, let’s just say I kept myself busy by eating. The other thing I had to occupy my time was my favorite gal-pal, Candy, who I am hoping to be adopted with. She’s a really good friend, but we know being adopted together may not be possible and are ok with that too.
