Ferris's Story

Ferris came from a large hoarding case in Anderson county. Over 60 small breed dogs were pulled from the home after the owner died. Ferris was one of the oldest and likely the father to many of them. We estimate his age to be 8 years and he weighs 14 lbs. Ferris has had little human contact due to the number of animals in the home. He wants attention but is also very shy. He would do best in a quiet home with older children and calm pets. Ferris was not house trained as the dogs were never left outside so his owner will need to work with him on that. Ferris is available for adoption in Knoxville, TN and his fee is $150. He has had senior bloodwork, neuter, microchip, vaccines. She is heartworm negative and on prevention.

Knox Vintage Pet Project's Adoption Policy
We have a written application all potential adopters must fill out. Once the application is complete, we call all vet references to make sure their current pets are well taken care of (up to date on vaccines and heartworm prevention, sterilized). If the adopter rents, we will call the landlord to make sure they are allowed to have pets and have no restrictions. We require a meet and greet with all of their current pets before adoption.
