While he may start out as a "wallflower," once he feels safe, he reveals a heart of pure gold.<br/><br/>His Personality<br/>Ferragamo is the definition of "slow and steady wins the heart." He is naturally timid and standoffish at first, preferring to observe from a distance rather than rushing in for cuddles. However, once the ice melts, he is a different dog—he absolutely melts into pets and leans into affection once he knows he’s safe.<br/><br/>The Perfect Home Environment<br/>The "Buddy System":<br/>Ferragamo finds his courage through other dogs. He must have a confident canine sibling in his forever home to show him the ropes and provide the security he needs to navigate the world.<br/><br/>A Gentle Touch:<br/>He is currently very fearful of men. A female-led household or a home with very patient, gentle males who are willing to give him space and allow him to approach on his own terms will be essential for his success.<br/>Patience with the "Great Outdoors":<br/>Ferragamo is still learning that the world outside isn't so scary. He is currently leash-shy and needs a family willing to work on positive reinforcement for walks—time is essential.<br/><br/>Why You’ll Love Him<br/>There is nothing more rewarding than the moment Ferragamo decides you are his "safe space." Watching him come out of his shell is a beautiful journey.
