Fern and Goldie's Story
Hi! Were Fern & Goldie.

You humans are always saying, Family comes first. We happen to believe the very same thing.

Were two sisters, about 1112 years old. Were most likely Black Labs—or at the very least, a whole lot of Labrador—and we definitely have the personalities to prove it.

First, the good stuff... weve been to school! Weve had professional training and know our commands well. We can sit, heel, and lie down on cue. Our recall is excellent, especially with our e-collars, we walk beautifully on a leash, and we can ignore most everyday distractions. The truth is, we absolutely love training and would be thrilled to keep learning.

We adore people. We love affection. We have the kind of happy, goofy personalities that make people smile every single day. Just look into our big brown eyes and youll see exactly what we mean. Honestly, we think we should have been on the cover of Cyndi Laupers Girls Just Want to Have Fun because that pretty much sums us up.

Now... we should probably tell you one more thing.

We have a lot of energy.

Give us wide open fields, woods to explore, and if you happen to have a stream or pond nearby, well think weve landed in heaven.

We wake up every morning ready to take on the world. The only problem is... we occasionally forget to pack our off switch. If youre okay with watching us run like the wind, wrestle together, and burn off our energy outside, we promise were having the time of our lives.

When the folks at the rescue tell us about finding our forever family, we imagine people who love to hike, run, swim, train, explore, or simply spend lots of time outdoors. Weve learned that we do best with structure, routine, continued training, and plenty of opportunities to use both our bodies and our brains.

Well be honest—were not suburban girls, and city life just isnt for us. We dream of a country home where we have room to stretch our legs, breathe the fresh air, and be the happy Labs we were born to be.

We know we wont be the right fit for everyone, and thats perfectly okay. Were looking for someone who loves the true Labrador spirit and is excited to channel all of our enthusiasm into adventures, training, and a life well lived.

In return, youll get two incredibly loyal, affectionate, joyful companions who will love you with everything we have.

If youre looking for couch potatoes... were probably not your girls.

But if youre looking for two happy Labs who will keep you laughing, keep you active, and fill your life with love, then we just might be your perfect match.

Thanks for taking the time to get to know us.

We hope to meet our family soon.

Love,

Fern & Goldie

Inquires to info@goldenhuggs.org
