Fern's Story

Fern is a 6 year old blue female with natural ears who came in from a shelter after being retrieved from a hoarder. She was in rough shape when she got to the shelter but they did a great job of getting her vetted and putting some weight on her. She is learning to be house trained in her foster home. She is crate trained. She walks well on a leash and loves her walks. Fern does have some wounds on two of her feet that are still healing and will take some time to heal. She is not available yet for adoption as we need to see these wounds close up more before she can go on to a forever home. Fern also has scar tissue on her muzzle, it looks like she has a black mask but there is no fur and it will probably never grow back. It doesn’t take away from what a pretty girl she is. Fern was extremely fearful when she first came in to rescue, but with love and care she is slowly learning to trust her foster family. We can’t wait to see her blossom into the beautiful and loving companion she was meant to be.

Please include your home area code and a phone number where a volunteer can reach you when contacting us about an adoption.

For more information on this dog and our adoption policies, visit MAGDRL at https://www.magdrl.org.
