Fern's Story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Who in their right minds doesn't love weenie dogs? Add long haired low riding doggies and you have Fern. Fern is a Dachshund female, weighing in at about 13 pounds and 5 years old. No mixing happened with her as she was surrendered by a breeder by way of Rhonda Furby Rescue. Her TDR Foster reports that Fern gets along great with all dogs encountered as well as people. She has not met a cat yet, but just her overall personality shows that cats should not be an issue. She also has not met any young humans at this point. Again, she is just so happy to be free, that all humans will love her and her love them back.

Fern has no medical issues to report. She is a clinger, so happy to have human interaction. She loves snuggling up to her human. Being she spent so much time in a breeder environment, she is not 100 percent housetrained, but she is showing intelligence to learn quick, and we guess she will be housetrained in no time. Even though there are other dogs in her foster group, Fern has not shown any food aggression.

Fern has not been crate trained and she has not been taught commands in her breeder environment, but she does show that IQ to be able to learn.

Bottom line is that FERN is a sweet and lovable girl who deserves a loving home to spend the rest of her life.
