When we received a plea from one of our partner shelters about this sweet young girl, our hearts sank. She had been found with half of her leg missing, and due to the severity of her pain, the rest had to be amputated. There was no way we could turn away.<br/>In the shelter, she was scared—but even through that fear, you could see it… a deep sweetness and a quiet longing to be loved and to trust again.<br/><br/>We welcomed her to RDR just this past week, and already, she’s showing us who she truly is. On her first day, she didn’t even want to walk. We worried the amputation might be too much for her. But then something incredible happened—losing her leg hasn’t slowed down her fun-loving spirit one bit.<br/><br/>She came alive around other dogs.<br/><br/>This is what makes dogs so extraordinary—they don’t dwell on what they’ve lost.
