Felicity's Story

Hi, my name is Felicity! I'm a PURPLE pawprint, which means I will fit well into a home that meets some specific criteria. Here is what would work best for me in my new home:

-Personality: Shy, affectionate, still gaining confidence
-Can Live with Kids: Unknown history - recommending dog savvy kids 12+ at this time. Up to counselor's discretion.
-Can Live with Cats: Unknown history - slow and supervised introductions always recommended.
-Can Live with Dogs: Felicity came in with a group of dogs and would likely be fine living with a dog of similar size/energy level. All introductions done at WHS to ensure everyone gets along.
-Can do Apartment Living: No thanks - Felicity is pretty sensitive to loud noises and crossing thresholds like doors, so would do best in a house where there's a bit more predictability.
-Potty Trained: Appears to be
-Bite History: No
-Positive Reward Based Obedience Classes Required: Not required, but would definitely be beneficial to help her gain confidence.
-Energy Level: Medium/High
-Needs Medical Procedure Before Going Home: Nope, good to go.

Meet Felicity - a shy, but sweet dog looking for her forever home. Felicity came to WHS after being found running around unsupervised with several other dogs. She's gaining confidence day by day, but would really like to find her people. Felicity would benefit from a home with a consistent routine, dedicated to helping her gain confidence and trust in the people around her. We think with time Felicity will become a great companion in the right home where she can show off her treat catching skills and charm you with her perfectly quirky smile when you scritch her in *just* the right spot. If you're interested in adopting her, please fill out an application for review.

If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website (www.whatcomhumane.org/adopt) or in person at our facility. We recommend calling into the shelter after your application has been submitted so our front desk can give you next steps on our adoption process.
