Fauna's Story

It was a cool and rainy morning when a group of concerned motorists found me wandering near the highway. Many of them stopped in an effort to grab me but I was not quite ready to be caught. A local schoolteacher was determined to get me to safety, and I climbed in her car with her and headed to the police station. Weighing a mere 53 lbs and saturated from the rain, I happily greeted my new friends from animal control.

Despite my intake condition, the staff reports that I had the kindest spirit. Mom says I have every right to be mistrusting but greet new people with the same warmth and love that I would've wanted to be shown. As a result, I was named Fauna after the gentle fairy from Sleeping Beauty. I am a big gal who has no concept of her size and will happily climb in your lap to give you some smooches. The staff here jokes that I am an "aggressive kisser", but I prefer to call myself PASSIONATE :) Speaking of my talents, I am a certified stuffie smasher and love nothing more than getting a new plushie and performing one of my famous fluff-ectomy surgeries. Due to my previous food insecurity, I do not like to be bothered while I eat and am searching for a home with older children who understand to leave me alone during mealtimes. I've had a hard time with the other dogs here but may be willing to live with a large breed male who is tolerant of my shenanigans.

If you're searching for an XL bully with an XL heart, I may be the one for you. Submit an adoption inquiry for me!
