Fancy's Story

Fancy is honestly anything but. Rather, she's down to earth, good-natured, humble, polite and friendly. She doesn't even need anything fancy. Her only requirements are to be loved, to be fed and to be kept safe. But, she's a gem of a dog and such a good girl, that she makes it easy to want to spoil her and give her the best of everything. <br/><br/>Fancy is around 1-2 years old and we believe a lab/heeler mix or something similar. She is choosy about dog friends, so she'd need a meet and greet with any potential dog siblings. She's good with cats and being such a gentle lady, we imagine she'd be good with kids as well. While she's pretty chill most of the time, Fancy does get occasional zoomies and likes to run really fast! She's just a joy to have around, the kind of dog who we're surprised was found as a stray and never claimed. She deserves so much more! Second Chance Animal Sanctuaries's Adoption Policy
Our adoption process: 1) Fill out an application on our website at www.secondchanceas.org/adopt. Please note that submitting an inquiry through PetFinder or other online listing does not constitute an adoption application. Applications can also be downloaded as a pdf and emailed to secondchanceas@yahoo.com or filled out at the sanctuary any time we're open. 2) We will process your application by calling your veterinarian and personal references. How long this takes depends on how quickly we can reach them. You can help expedite this process by letting them know we'll be calling from the number 570-376-3646. We may also call you to ask additional questions or to share pertinent information about the animal you've applied for. 3) We will inform you of your application's status, usually in a few days to a week. Even if the animal you hoped to adopt goes to another home, you still may be approved to adopt another animal. We attempt to match animals to homes that best fit their personality/needs and vice versa. NOTE: You do not have to apply for a specific animal on your application. You can submit it as a "pre-application" for a certain size, age or breed of animal, and if approved, we can contact you if a possible match arrives at the shelter.
