Fallon came to us after retiring from hunting. He loves other dogs, and we were told he is good with children. He is a shy pup, but much more confident outside. He is not housebroken because he has never lived in a home, but our experience with dogs like him is that they learn very quickly as long as they are taken outside a lot and praised when they go to the bathroom. Podengos are known for being intelligent, playful, and loyal dogs, but can have an independent streak. Fallon will be neutered and updated on his vaccines on January 15th, and will be ready for adoption after that. We typically receive many applications for every dog we post. All adoption meetings are by appointment.<br/><br/>Our dog adoption fee is $450 for dogs aged seven months to seven years old, and $250 for dogs aged eight years and older. Every dog we place receives age-appropriate vaccines, is treated for worms, ticks, and fleas, tested for heartworm, microchipped, and spayed or neutered before adoption. We send each dog home with a collar and leash. Please fill out the adoption application if you would like to be considered for a dog in our care.<br/><br/>With few exceptions, dogs are happiest and well-behaved when they receive daily exercise and ongoing training, so we always prefer to place our dogs with families willing to commit to both.
