Faith 's Story

Meet Faith!

Name: Faith
Age: 1 year, 6 months
Breed: Lab Mix
Size: Med/Large (51–70 lbs)

Personality & Story:
Faith is a sweet, gentle girl who has come so far in foster care and is now ready to find her forever home. She was rescued from a popular dumping ground with her sister Grace and has been learning what it means to feel safe, loved, and supported. Faith can still be a little shy when meeting new people, but she has made incredible progress and now warms up much more quickly—especially when allowed to approach at her own pace.

Once she trusts you, Faith becomes deeply affectionate, loyal, and loving. Her foster family describes her as an absolute darling with a big heart—and the cutest tiny ears to match!

Temperament & Socialization:
Faith continues to grow more confident every day. She is shy at first with new people but is making great progress in social situations and now shows curiosity and willingness to say hello once she sees other dogs interact first.

She loves other dogs and truly thrives with canine companionship, especially enjoying playtime with her foster dog Cleetus. She has also learned that cats can be friends and is doing well with them, though monitored interactions are recommended. Faith bonds deeply once she feels safe and becomes very attached to her people.

Training & Daily Life:
Faith is thriving in foster care and continues to build confidence through structure, patience, and positive experiences. She is doing well on walks and is becoming braver when meeting new people in and outside the home.

She is fully house trained and enjoys a mix of enrichment activities including toys, Kongs, walks, and play with other dogs. Faith does best when given time to adjust and is happiest when she is allowed to engage socially on her own terms.

Energy & Play:
Faith enjoys playtime with other dogs and loves being active, especially outdoors. She also has a calm side and enjoys relaxing on a dog bed or resting alongside her dog friends. She is happy to lounge and settle in once her energy needs are met.

Good With:
• Dogs: Loves other dogs and thrives with canine companionship
• Cats: Good with cats, with recommended supervised interactions
• Adults: Shy at first but warms up and becomes very affectionate
• Kids: Best with calm, respectful children or older kids

Home Behaviour & Habits:
Faith is crate trained and house trained. When left alone, she prefers a simple, calm setup as she may chew items inside or near her crate. She also benefits from a structured environment where food and valuables are put away, as she can be curious about counters when unsupervised.

She does best with consistency and management and continues to improve with guidance. She is comfortable resting in her crate, on a dog bed, or relaxing with her canine companions.

What Faith Needs in a Forever Home:
Faith would thrive in a patient, loving home that understands shy dogs and allows her to open up at her own pace. A home with another friendly, confident dog would be ideal, as she gains confidence and comfort from canine companionship.

She needs structure, gentle guidance, and continued positive reinforcement as she builds confidence in new environments. With the right support, Faith will continue to blossom into a secure, happy, and well-adjusted companion.

Why You’ll Love Faith:
Faith is a truly special girl who has overcome so much and continues to grow more confident every day.
