Fabio's Story

My name is Fabio, and I'm a three-year-old yellow Lab mix. I’m told I’m a wonderful dog, and honestly, I'd have to agree!

I love everyone – kids, dogs, even those mysterious creatures called cats. As long as they don't look like a tasty snack, we should be just fine. Food? Oh, man, food! That's my absolute favorite thing. If it's edible and not trying to eat *me*, I'm in!

My foster dad says I'm still a little shy when we go to new, noisy places. All those sights and sounds can be a bit overwhelming, but I usually settle in after a little while. I’m learning to be brave!

There is one little… *ahem*… quirk I have. Sometimes, when I get really excited or nervous, I have a little accident. My foster calls it an "excited bladder" and says we're working on it. I’m trying my best to keep my excitement contained, but it’s hard when everyone is so nice!

I love people SO much. I especially like getting pets, because my fur is super soft now – like a baby’s bottom, they say. I was pretty skinny when I first came here, but I'm told I'll look really handsome when I fill out a bit more. I'm certainly doing my part to reach that goal!

One thing I'm super proud of is learning to SIT! I didn't know it before, but now I love showing off my new trick. Just say the word, and I plop my furry butt right down. My foster mom says she's working on introducing me to her cat. I've gotten to sniff him a bit, and as long as he doesn't run away, I think we will be friends! I can't wait to see what the future holds, especially if it holds lots of yummy food and even more love!

If you are interested in adopting, please go to our website at www.lolin.org and click on Adopt, Apply for a Dog. From there, you can submit an Adoption Application to be considered for this dog. You MUST be an approved applicant to meet LOLIN dogs. There is no central location or hours to meet dogs.
