Evie (Snickers)'s Story

Meet Evie (Snickers) – A Beautiful Soul Looking for Her Perfect Match

Evie' (Snickers) journey began with Saving Paws Rescue AZ, where she was born into the loving arms of an incredible foster family. From her very first days, she was given the best possible start—surrounded by love, care, and guidance. At just nine weeks old, she found what we all believed would be her forever home.

For over two years, Evie (Snickers) thrived. She grew into a smart, well-trained, and affectionate companion, a dog who adores children of all ages and enjoys life’s simple pleasures. But sometimes, even when love is abundant, personalities don’t always align. Over the past few months, Evie (Snickers) and the other female dog in the home began to struggle with their relationship, and despite her family’s best efforts, it became clear that it was no longer a healthy or happy situation for either of them.

Making the decision to rehome a beloved pet is never easy—it’s done out of love, not lack of it. Evie' (Snickers) family is heartbroken but wants to do what is best for her and for their other dog. Now, we are all coming together once again to ensure that Evie (Snickers) finds the right home—a place where she can flourish and be her happiest self.

Evie (Snickers) is about 2.5 years old and has an incredible mix of German Shepherd, Husky, American Staffordshire Terrier, and Pittie—a combination that makes her both intelligent and affectionate. Her mom was a 50/50 German Shepherd and Husky, so she has the best of both breeds' loyalty and energy.

She is:
Great with children of all ages
Good with male dogs (but no female dogs, please!)
Housebroken and well-trained—she knows most basic commands
Wonderful on leash walks
Not kennel-trained, but does well in a home setting

We are incredibly proud of Evie (Snickers), and while we are sad that her first home didn’t work out, we know this is just part of her journey to the perfect forever family. She has so much love to give, and we are committed to finding her a home where she can truly shine.

Could Evie (Snickers) be the missing piece of your family? If you think she’s the one, please reach out—we can’t wait to see her next chapter unfold!

If you can give Evie (Snickers) an indoor forever home, please fill out our online application on our website at http://www.savingpawsrescueaz.org/adoption-form/

We will only schedule meet and greets with an approved application. We are an all-volunteer organization. It may take a couple of days to process an application and complete reference checks.

Thank you for your interest in saving the life of a dog.
