Meet Evie! This fluffy, loving queen is a little cloud of sweetness, joy, and companionship.<br/><br/>Evie arrived to us in rough shape: dirty, matted, and suffering from a painful bladder stone. Fortunately we were able to get her the medical care she needed, and now this sweet, resilient little nugget is ready to find her forever home.<br/><br/>Evie is an absolute cuddle bug who always wants to be by your side and will happily crawl into any lap she can find. Her favorite way to snuggle is with her head on your shoulder or chest, and it's as precious as it sounds. Evie has a playful side that shines when she’s outside exploring: she especially enjoys digging in the dirt, so if you’re looking for a gardening assistant, Evie is more than happy to lend a paw. She’s also a natural supermodel, with a photogenic face and a coat that is already starting to grow back beautifully after being partially shaved due to matts.<br/><br/>Evie is looking for a home with humans who love to snuggle and are generous with pats. She has radial nerve damage in her front left leg from an untreated snake bite and some arthritis in her hips, but gets around very well - running, jumping, and going up and down stairs easily. She'll need a home with a grassy fenced-in yard to explore - because of how she compensates for her nerve damage, walking on sidewalks regularly puts her at risk of developing abrasions. If she needs to walk on hard suraces, she can wear a boot to protect her leg. <br/><br/>Evie is housetrained, walks well on the leash, and is a great copilot in the car. She sleeps through the night and doesn't mind hanging at home while her humans are out - though she would prefer it if they were home with her as much as possible to cuddle! Evie hasn't met any cats yet while she's been with us but she gets along wonderfully with the other dogs in her foster home and has done well with children.
