Everest's Story
Everest is a silly, loving, and high-energy Husky with a big personality. He enjoys being close to his people and would happily spend time indoors near his family.

Likes: Being close to his humans, hugs & affection (on his terms), sunbathing, walks & outdoor time, treats, naps, squeaky toys, kids * people, crunchy snacks/sounds, dog ice cream, music & playful interaction. Good with kids 1 yr and up. DOES NOT like his nose touched.

Needs to be on Salmon/Sweet Potato food or something for sensitive stomach. Does better with GRAIN, not grain free food.

Knows sit, wait, come, lay down, and shake. Is crate trained.

Everest is high energy, and needs regular activity and stimulation. Enjoys walks and tends to calm down after some activity, pulls on the leash especially when seeing other dogs, good with dogs of all sizes, but can get excited and would benefit from continued leash manners. Chews on items if bored (has chewed sprinklers and other objects), jumps up on people, eats plants/soil if accessible, not trained to potty in a specific designated spot, can open screen doors (very smart/curious)

Everest has not shown signs of aggression. Any nipping behavior has been more consistent with puppy/overstimulation behavior and would benefit from continued training and boundaries.

Dislikes: Being touched on the nose/face, being petted directly on top of his head, baths

Does well when boarded and at the groomer, gets sick on longer car rides

His ideal home: An active home with time for exercise and engagement, someone familiar with husky or high-energy breeds, a home willing to continue training and provide structure, a secure environment, a home where he can be indoors with his people.
