Everest's Story

Everest
1 year, neutered male, 15 lbs
Scruffy Terrier mix

This scruffy super-snuggler is curious and playful, and ready to accompany you on all of life’s adventures!

LIKES: He’s happy doing anything you’re doing! Everest is a very trainable companion who loves belly rubs and attention. He especially enjoys playing with other dogs his size, chew toys, and exploring outside. He would appreciate a dog sibling to show him the ropes around his new home. He likes car rides and loves walks, but still needs some practice on the leash. He loves toys, warm laps, and especially food! He is very food motivated and trainable. He likes to collect toys on his dog bed and loves a good chew toy.

Ideal Home Must-Haves: Everest will initially prefer slow introductions with people, but after he's comfortable he’s your new Velcro bestie and will happily follow you everywhere. He loves a fenced yard to explore outside and lounge in the sun. He is wonderful with other dogs and enjoys their company. He is untested with cats.

The Lowdown: Everest is potty trained in his foster home, but may need to re-adjust when in new surroundings. He very quickly learned to use a doggie door and lets himself out/in. He has spent time in his crate but prefers not to, he likes being with his people. He has been left alone uncrated in his foster home for short periods, and does fine with other dogs and chew toys to occupy him. He rarely barks and is quiet and calm in the house once he settles.

Everest will make a wonderful companion for his new family, this scruffy sweetie loves a good cuddle and has lots of love to give!

To further inquire about EVEREST, submit an application.

Tell us about yourself, family, other pets, and how EVEREST will mesh with your lifestyle. Qualifying applicants will be contacted by our Adoption Coordinator with next steps and an opportunity to set up a Meet & Greet.

Our process is NOT a “first come, first served” process. (We DO NOT hold pets for later consideration.) Our team carefully reviews and interviews applicants for the best possible fit for each adoptable pet, and potential family. Submitting an application does not guarantee a call or response from our rescue. Our volunteers will screen the applications and reach out if it is determined to be a good fit.

We look forward to facilitating a positive and solid adoption for EVEREST, as well as his future family.

*Fostered in Eugene/Springfield, OR

ADOPTION APP: https://www.wigglytails.org/adoption-application
