Evelyn

This tiny senior girl was sitting alone and unwanted in a crowded shelter, In spite of repeated requests for rescue, nobody could take her and she was running out of time. We would far rather see her humanely euthanized at the shelter rather than left to suffer and die on the streets, but we knew we had to give her a sweet last chapter no matter how long or short that might be. We decided to squeeze her in, even though she's going to be a hospice case. She's just 5 pounds, very elderly and appears mostly blind and deaf, but sweet and easy to handle and has a good appetite.
