Eva

Eva is a cute little ( she only weighs 5#) 4 yr old female black toy poodle that came to us from a breeder because she was too small to keep breeding. She is a cuddly little lap dog that loves attention and brushing. Eva is friendly meeting new people, but is a bit shyer around men. She is good with other dogs (all sizes), and would enjoy another dog in her new home. Because she enjoys time outside, a secure fenced yard would be ideal. She is good with the children she has met, but we wouldn't want any of them to accidentally drop her so we recommend dog-savy kids 10 yr and up. She likes to run around, but is not super playful. Eva is housebroken, but does need to go outside at least every 5 hrs. No real signal when she need to go out, although foster thinks when she needs to have a BM she will walk in circles. She is crated overnight with another small dog. Eva knows her name, and comes when called. Doesn't know any commands. Good on leash walks along with you. Not a big barker - she doesn't initiate barking, but might chime in with her high-pitched little bark. Rides well in the car - can be crated or will sit next to you in the front seat. No inappropriate chewing, but does enjoy an approved chew. Eva can jump up on furniture, but she hasn't mastered going up/down the steps yet. The foster mom is working with her, and she'll only go down 2 steps (which is actually slow improvement because at first she just froze in place). Don't know the story about why she is missing some front teeth, but she eats just fine, and has a gentle mouth taking treats. Eva has a sweet, easy going personality, and is a little lover. <br/>Eva has been spayed, and is current on distemper and rabies vaccinations. Tested heartworm negative.
