Ethel's Story

Oh this gorgeous girl!!!

Ethel is about 2 years old, and around 65 lbs, but she is a little thin. We don't know her breed, but to us she looks like a dwarf Newfie with shorter hair! Height-wise she is about the size of a medium dog, but then she's got that big head!

Ethel is very lovable, and she is living with dogs and cats in her foster home. She can be playful and is on the more dominant side with the dogs her size or bigger. She does really well with smaller dogs, and cats!

At adoption events, she seems to really love kids! She really seems like she could be a great "nanny dog".

One thing to know about Ethel, she does have those big dog jowls and can be a little drooly! So when she gives you a big ol' kiss there might be some slobber involved lol..

Ethel is heartworm positive and has started treatment. She can be adopted during the treatment as long as her new family can take her to 3 appointments over the next 2 months at the hall co animal shelter, and is able to provide a "calm" environment for her while she is going through it. If interested, we will go over everything and stay involved, and there is no cost to adopters for the treatment.

If you think Ethel could be the Girl of her dreams, we promise it will be even worse if you meet her in person!

The first step to that is to copy and paste the following link into your browser to submit an application:

https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/GARP/Dog

Please also follow us on Facebook to keep up with all our Pals, upcoming events, and announcements!

https://www.facebook.com/share/ahFTecYpLt3bLPkf/?mibextid=qi2Omg

Rescue Pals, Inc.'s Adoption Policy
Thank you for your interest in one of our Pals! Our adoption fees for dogs are: Puppies up to 1 Year Old : $400 Adult Dogs 1 - 9 Years : $350 Senior Dogs 10 - 12 Years : $300 Super Senior Dogs 12 + Years : $150 Kittens up to 1 Year Old : $125 Adult Cats 1 - 12 Years : $95 Senior Cats 12 + Years : $75 If multiple cats/kittens are adopted to the same home at the same time, each kitty after the first (youngest) will have their fee reduced by $25. All dogs and cats are or will be: spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and on flea/tick/heartworm prevention. Here is our adoption process: Applicants must be at least 21 years of age. Applicants must be ready for a new pet to come home immediately after the entire adoption process is complete and approved. We are not able to hold animals if you have travel coming up, etc., so please be prepared to make arrangements for your new pet if that is the case. After submitting an application, your information will be reviewed and a vet check will be done for your current and past pets (going back 5 years). Your pets should be spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccines, and on heartworm prevention. Veterinary medical exceptions will be taken into consideration for any of those items. If you and the pet you are applying for seem like a great fit, a member of our adoption team will contact you for a telephone interview. After that, a home check will be done, and then a meet and greet (maybe at the same time!). If all is well and everyone agrees that this is the right new family member for you, the adoption can be finalized at that time! Please note that we are an all-volunteer organization, and in some cases when multiple applications come in for the same pet we may not be able to respond to each applicant. If a pet no longer appears on Petfinder, it means he or she has been adopted. Applying for a pet does not place that animal on hold, or guarantee approval. Our goal is to make the very best match that will last a lifetime for the pet, so we hope everyone can understand and appreciate that. If your application is approved through 1st review and vet check, but we don't feel that the pet you're interested in is the right fit, we may suggest another who we feel would be a better fit for your lifestyle/what you're looking for. Thank you so much again for your interest in adopting a Pal, and helping us save lives!
