Meet gorgeous Estrella. She was a victim of landlord issues and therefore her owner surrendered her to the New York Animal Care Centers back in June.<br/><br/>There she was amongst a noisy full shelter with little time left.<br/><br/>We are so thankful an amazing couple that always saves animals stepped up to save Estrella<br/><br/>These are Estrella's STATS<br/><br/><br/>• Age: 1-2 years old<br/><br/>• Breed: Hound/Pit mix<br/><br/>Weight: 50 lbs<br/><br/>• Personality:<br/>- Lovable, eager to please, and full of personality <br/>- Super friendly and affectionate, wins over everyone she meets <br/>- Treat-motivated and eager to learn because she wants to please you<br/>- Forms strong bonds quickly, loves being by your side <br/><br/>• Activity Level:<br/>- Loves walks, exploring, and playing with other dogs<br/>- Active and loves to run and do zoomies around the yard<br/><br/>- She runs so joyfully that it is a beautiful thing to behold<br/>- Keeps the yard free of critters (deer, squirrels, vultures (her favorite things to chase - I swear one day she is going to learn to fly after them!) <br/>- Rides great in the car and is always up for an adventure <br/><br/>• Training & Behavior:<br/>- House and crate trained <br/>- Learning basic manners, can be jumpy and when excited <br/>- Walks well on leash, and constantly looks back to make sure she is still with you <br/>- Needs patience and guidance to build her confidence and continue improving <br/><br/>- Looks toward people for their approval<br/><br/>• Dog Compatibility:<br/>- Absolutely loves other dogs and should live with at least one<br/>- Attends doggie daycare and has lots of friends there <br/><br/>• Other Requirements:<br/>- A fenced yard is a must because she loves doing zoomies and playing with another dog<br/>- Needs a patient family that is willing to help build her confidence. Needs a family that won’t be yelling a lot. <br/><br/>- Needs another dog in the home for entertainment, comfort and playtime.<br/><br/>• Health & Adoption Info:<br/>- Spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and heartworm negative <br/>- Adoption fee: $400 <br/><br/> <br/><br/> Estrella is a wonderful, loving dog who wants nothing more than to please her person/people Estrella loves playing with her doggie friends and would thrive in a home with another playful, friendly dog (see videos of Estrella playing with her foster brother, Blessed). Estrella loves to run and does it with such incredible joy. She is also a couch potato and a cuddler at other times. Estrella is friendly and gentle with everyone. I bring her to dog friendly stores where she loves getting attention from strangers. Estrella would love to sleep in the same room as her person, and would even love to sleep on the bed with them (though I personally don’t let her sleep on my bed - not enough room). Estrella comes running happily whenever you call her. Estrella is an impressive looking dog, but doesn’t have a mean bone in her beautiful body.
