We don’t know why she was there or if she was ever bred—but what matters most is that she is safe now and ready to begin her next chapter in a loving forever home.<br/><br/>Essie is one of our quiet treasures. She lives in a group of about ten dogs and does very well with them, peacefully keeping to herself. She is shy by nature, but she has made wonderful progress and continues to gain confidence at her own pace. Because of this, Essex will need another dog in the home—a calm, confident companion she can model after and feel secure with.<br/><br/>She has never lived in a home or been walked on a leash, so her future family should expect to patiently teach her all the basics, including house-training and leash skills. Everything in the world is still new to her, and sometimes a little scary—but she tries so hard. She recently enjoyed a full grooming session and did beautifully, showing just how sweet and gentle she truly is.<br/><br/>Essex is a stunningly pretty girl with a soft soul. She’s waiting for that special person who will see her potential, move at her pace, and treat her like the Princess she deserves to be.
