ESME's Story

We take the time to post pertinent information about our dogs and that information can be found below. Our dogs are fostered in homes so we know them well. The application form is found under Adoptable Dogs - Adoption Process at www.enchantmutts.org. When the application is complete - you can submit it to info@enchantmutts.org. We will contact you when the application has been reviewed. Thank you.

Meet ESME – this adorable girl came to rescue from an “accidental breeding”. She lived her first 4 months in a backyard with her parents and her siblings. Not much interaction or independence but those days are over! From a somewhat shy girl to doing her best in a wave of sharks to an outgoing, cuddly gal who is gaining more confidence and to deciding she really likes being in a real home. ESME is on the hunt for an active – working dog savvy family who loves little old souls.

ESME is an Australian Shepherd (with tail) and both her parents are black-bi’s as is she and her sibs. Her DOB is April 2025 so all that puppiness is front and center! She should top out at about 40 lbs when grown and she excels at learning and just exploding during her time in rescue. She is going to be quite the girl – a soul dog for some lucky person!

ESME is a puppy albeit with what appears to be an old soul… but she does puppy things. Though she is very quick to take correction she is still in that “chewy” stage so requires some supervision. But once you say no – she gets it. ESME is a fast learner and very willing to do her best. Initially she was unsure but is gaining more confidence every day - turning into a happy, playful, cuddly kiddo – just lovely!

ESME is a very smart girl and you can see her turning things over in her mind – she got the doggy door on day one! She is very agile and athletic (but her brother AUDI takes the cake on that one – she has more to prove it seems - J She is almost potty trained – just forgets sometimes but that will pass. She is crate trained and quite content especially with a toy or chew toy.

ESME will need another active dog in the house to play with and teach her how to DOG. She is coming into her own and learning from her brother (AUDI) and her foster siblings. She is taking correction well and has always respected her “elders” – she will excel with attention and direction and as her breed defines - she is an active girl and will need lots of stimulation (physical and mental) to be all she can be. As far as little humans in the house none under ten please. Cats are an unknown but we suspect with the right direction she will be fine.

ESME is looking for a Forever home that will give her what she needs to become a wonderful family member. She deserves to live her best life with a family that appreciates her and enjoys a wonderful companion. She needs a family who is active and has experience with working dogs. ESME’s adores cuddles and often seeks her people out for pets.

ESME has had her series of puppy shots, started on heartworm prevention, wormed, micro chipped and will be spayed and receive her rabies mid-October 2025. She is available to the right home prior to her spay with a puppy contract (included in the adoption fee) as we do not neuter before six months. She is at that prime bonding age so she needs her peeps.

If you think she might be for you, please complete an application (click on the Adoption Process button) and submit to info@enchantmutts.org. Sorry - ESME WILL NOT be adopted out of the state of New Mexico.

Sorry - ESME WILL NOT be adopted out of the state of New Mexico.
