He is just an XL lovebug.<br/><br/>Likes: Ernie loves playing with dog friends or cuddling. He is a total lover boy and thinks he is a small dog that can easily fit into your lap.<br/><br/>Dislikes: Toddlers make him a little uneasy. He is not aggressive at all, he just avoids them.<br/><br/>What makes this dog special: Ernie is the perfect young dog for an individual or family that is active and understands, respects and loves large working class mix breeds. He's got the intelligence & drive of a Cattle Dog and the brute force of an Akita. And the most handsome face & fur coat ever. He does well with older kids and bigger companion dogs. Can be an only dog as long as he gets plenty of love, attention and activity. He'd love a big yard with a tall fence, and parks are everything!<br/><br/>He is incredibly smart, clumsy but gentle. Sleeps through the night, no crate needed. He's already learned how to sit, lay, go to his bed, play with others dogs outside with reasonable intensity, and share his toys. Does well with commands, very trusting when there's consistency. We quickly learned he loves the water, and enjoys walking busy nature preserves (he was perfect). Ernie is exceptional and truly deserves a loving, patient, and active home. His fosters love him and will help make that special match happen. <br/><br/>Ernie's adoption fee is $350. All fees include spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinations, worming, flea and heartworm current. All dogs over 6 months of age have been tested and are heartworm negative.
