Ernie Benefactor Dog

Meet Ernie!

Ernie is a 1-year-old, 9-pound scruffy little sweetheart with big ears, an adorable pink nose, and a personality that is starting to shine.

He's playful, affectionate, and loves being with his people. Ernie is good with kids and other dogs, so he's happy to have both two- and four-legged friends around.

He's doing great with potty training and already walks nicely on a leash. He's still young and learning the ropes, but he's settling into home life beautifully.

Ernie's biggest work in progress is learning to be comfortable when his people leave. He has some separation anxiety, and the crate is currently not his favorite place in the world. His foster is working with him on both, but his ideal family may be one that is home more often than not and can continue helping him build confidence and independence at his own pace.

At the end of the day, Ernie is just a fun, sweet little guy looking for someone to love-and preferably someone who appreciates a ridiculously cute set of ears.

Ernie is neutered, heartworm negative, up to date on vaccines, and ready to find his forever home!

PLEASE READ BELOW:

If you are interested in meeting and/or adopting, the first step is to complete an application and read all of our FAQs:

https://www.takepawsrescue.org/adopt

Please note: Information to determine if you might be a match for one of our animals can only be found on our application.
*An inquiry, questions or introduction through Petfinder is NOT an application*
All known details about our animals are posted on their profile and updated daily.
