Ernie - adopted's Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Ernie!

Ernie is a big, stunning gray Cane Corso who was once on the A-list at a California shelter, and now he’s ready for his forever home! Weighing in around 145 pounds, Ernie is as impressive in size as he is in personality. He’s a sweet, affectionate boy who absolutely loves to cuddle and will happily snuggle up with his favorite people.

Ernie is a toy enthusiast—whether it’s squeaky toys or tug ropes, he’s always up for some fun! When it comes to walks, Ernie can be a bit strong on the leash, but he does much better with a prong collar and a confident handler.

Meet Ernie

Ernie is a 2-year-old Cane Corso who is looking for a very specific, experienced home. He is more guardian-minded than most and takes his job of protecting his home seriously. Ernie is not the type to greet strangers like a Lab—he does not enjoy unfamiliar people in his space and will need a home that is committed to proper management, including crating him when guests come over.

That said, Ernie is a sweet boy with excellent house manners. He is obedience trained, dog friendly, and does well in a structured environment. Due to his size, temperament, and guardian instincts, we are not placing him in a home with small children.

Ernie must go to an experienced Cane Corso (or guardian breed) home. He is not a first-time Corso dog and will thrive best with someone who understands the breed, values structure, and is confident in setting boundaries.

If you’re an experienced Corso owner looking for a loyal, protective companion and can provide the right management and leadership, Ernie may be your guy.

Apply to adopt at: www.azmastiffrescue.com

#AZMastiffRescue #AZMastiff #CaneCorso #GuardianBreed #RescueDog #ExperiencedHomeOnly #AdoptDontShop

Ernie is with AZ Mastiff Rescue.
