Ernie's Story
Meet Ernie!

Ernie (darker red pup) is an owner surrender along with his sister. He was from an accidental breeding of his mother being pure Great Pyrenees and his father being a 60 lbs German Shepherd/Husky mix (born on November 13th, 2025). The owner is a disabled veteran and cannot take care of them so our rescue stepped in to take them. Unfortunately, these pups were very malnourished early on and we believe their growths may be stunted for their breed mixes. They have older siblings from a previous litter who are only about 40 lbs fully grown. We estimate these two to be about 40-60 lbs to be our BEST GUESS (cannot guarantee this).

We are NOT adopting these pups out together as we have already seen signs of littermate syndrome and competing for food and attention.

Ernie is super sweet puppy. These babies are active and ready for their own homes. With early introductions, these pups can be socialized with kids, cats, and dogs. We have started to introduce crate training already.

Ernie will be neutered at 6 months but can be adopted now with a spay/neuter addendum. He is up to date on his age appropriate vaccines and is already microchipped.

Please fill out an adoption application at www.adorehouston.org/adoption-application/
